In the name of God Amen I Zadock Nock of Accomack County in the state of Virginia being of sound mind but weak and low of bodily health, do make this my last will and Testament in manner and form to wit
First I recommend by soul to almighty God and my body to the discression of my executors to be buried in a Christian like manner and my worldly goods I give as follows
Item I give unto my son William Nock two hundred acres of land where I now live when laid of to begin at the upper end of the said plantation to him and his heirs for ever. I leave my son William to pay two hundred and fifty Dollars to my daughter Betsy when she comes of Lawful age
I give unto my wife Betsy Nock one Negro Woman by the name of Leah one Negro man by the named of Peter, and one Negro girl by the name of Esther during her natural life
Item I give unto my daughter Critty Nock twenty seven acres of Land off the tract where I live adjoining the lot where I Kept store with the lot and House I give unto my daughter Critty to her and her heirs forever
I give unto my so Lewis Nock one hundred and fifty acres of Land which I purchased of Ezekiel Tatham and John Teackle, be the same more or less laying to the eastward of Wallops road to him & his heirs for ever
I have my son Lewis Nock to pay unto my daughter Betsy two hundred Dollars when she comes of Lawful age
I give unto my daughter Betsy Nock one Negro boy by the name of Isaac one Negro boy by the name of Irziriah and one Negro boy by the name of Sam to her and her heirs forever
I leave unto the hands of My executor four Hundred and Seventy five pound in notes bonds and open Accts to Collect to pay John Teackle for the land I purchased of him
The ballance of my estate which I have not already given away Sold to pay my Just debts
I appoint my friend Thomas Fletcher and my son Wm Nock my hole and sole executors of this my last will and Testament For Testimony whereof O have hereunto set my hand and seal this 26th day of January 1809

At a Superior Court of Law held for Accomack County May 3rd 1809 This Last Will and Testament of Zadock Nock decd was proved by the oath of Fenwick Fisher and Elijah Nock witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded. And on the motion of Wm Nock one of the executors therein named taking the oath and giving bond according to law in the sum of Three Thousand pounds with Elijah Nock and Geo. Thomas securities thereto certificate is granted him for obtaining probate thereof in due form
