In consideration of the last will and Testament of
Walter Hatton Decd the following Negroes are to be free as they respectively arrive to the ages of thirty one, and to prevent disptues and uncertainties which may arise from ignorance when each of them were born I do certify to the several names, which for their information is recorded. James son of Judey born Novr 3rd 1778. Peter son of Judey born Decr 26th 1782, Lucey Daughter of Judy born Apl 8th 1785, Sabra daughter of Judey born March 3rd 1791. Jamey daughter of Judey born Febr 28th 1794. Joseph son of Judey born March 28th 1796. George son of Judey born Jany 14th 1798. Rody daughter of Lucey born June 2nd 1773. Judey daughter of Rodey born June 24th 1800.
The above dates of ages which I do not of my own Knowledge Know were taken from the family book of ages, this 18th July 1800 Ann Hatton
