Know all men by these presents that I Arthur Emmerson of the County of Accomack in the State of Virginia by these presents emancipate and set free for bondage the following Slaves to wit Peter, John, Robin, Phillis and her two children Nancey and Sall reserving to my self or my heirs the service of John until the thirty first day of December which shall be in the year fo one thousand and eight hundred and two; also the line of service of Robin until the thiry first day of December which shall be in the year of one thousand and eight hundred and four likewise the time of service fo Salll and Nancy until thy shall each arrive to the age of twenty one years I do for my self and my heirs for ever quit claim of in and unto the Slaves above mentioned In witness whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and Seal this thirty first day of December Anno Domini One thousand and eight hundred Arthur Emmerson
