April Court 1804 On the petition of George B.
Bagwell setting forth that James a Negro man Slave the property of Darius Poulson
orphan of William hath run away and is taken up and now in the public goal at Snow
hill in Maryland and that he is apprehensive that the sd. orphan will lose the said
Slave & requesting the court to make a decree empowering him the said George Bagwell
to make Sale of the said Slave for the best price that can be got It is decreed and
ordered that the said George Bagwell make Sale of the said Slave James and make report
thereof to the Court Costs Clks 186 Cents Test Littleton Savage
obedience to a Decree of the court of Accomack County bearing date April 29 1804
I have made Sale of James the Property of Darius Poulson orphan of Wm Poulson
for the Sum of one Hundred and Two pounds George B Bagwell August 15 1804
