This Indenture made this fourth day of March Anno Domini one thousand Seven hundred and ninety Seven between Purnal Taylor of Nansemond County of the one part and Jacob Taylor of Accomac County of the other part Witnesseth that for and in consideration of twenty four pounds Specie current money of Virginia in hand paid the Receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath given granted bargained & sold and by these presents, doth give, grant, bargain and sell, and alien and confirm unto the said Jacob Taylor his heirs and assigns his the aforesaid Purnals undivided share of a certain tract or parcel of land situate, lying and being in the Parish of Accomac and County of Accomack aforesaid formerly the property of John Taylor then of said Parish & County but now deceased supposed in the whole to be upwards of one hundred Acres. To have and to hold the above granted and bargained premises unto him the aforesaid Jacob Taylor his heirs and assigns forever to the only purpose and benefit and behoof of him the said Jacob Taylor his heirs and assigns forever and to and for no other intent or use whatsoever. And the aforesaid Purnal Taylor doth hereby covenant and agree to and with the aforesaid Jacob Taylor that he shall and will warrant and defend the aforesaid granted and bargained premises with all and singular the rights priviledges and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining unto the said Jacob Taylor and his heirs and assigns forever In Testimony whereof he the aforesaid Purnal Taylor hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his Seal the day and year first before written
