This Indenture made the 14th day of October in the year Anno Domini one thousand Eight hundred £ seven between Marriot Parsons & Elizabeth his wife of the County of Accomack & State of Virginia of the one part and Levi Rodgers of the same County £ State of d of the other part Witnesseth that the said Marriot Parsons & Elizabeth his wife in consideration of the sum of three Hundred & forty Pounds lawful money of the commonwealth to them in hand paid by the Said Levi Rodgers at or before the ensealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof or hereby acknowledged. Have bargained and sold and by these do and each of them doth bargain and Sell unto the said Levi Rodgers his Heirs and assigns a certain Tract of Land Situate lying and being in the Parish of St George and County afsd bounded as follows on the North by the Lands belonging to the Heirs of William Smith decd on the N. E. By the lands of Levin Smith, On the East by the Lands the Thomas Smith formerly a part of sd Tract on the south by a little Creek making out of Pungoteague Creek and on the West by the Lands of Thomas Underhill Containing according to the Surveyors Plat thereof Ninety Acres one Rood and twenty one Perches be it the same more or less with all and singular the appertenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining and every part and Parcel thereof and the reversion and reversions remainder and remainders, yearly and other rents issues and profits thereof: To Have and to Hold the said above mentioned Lands with the tenements hereditaments, and all and Singular other the premises herein before mentioned or intended to be bargained and sold and any every part & parcel thereof with every of them rights members and appurtenances unto the sd Levi Rodgers his Heirs and assigns forever: And the said Marriot Parsons and Elizabeth his wife for themselves and their Heirs, the said Tract of Lands with all and Singular the premises and appertenances before mentioned unto the said Levi Rodgers his Heirs and Assigns free from the claim or claims of them the said Marriot Parsons and Elizabeth his wife or either of them their or either of their Heirs and of all and every person or persons whatsoever will and covenant and forever defend by these presents. At a District Court held at Accomack Courthouse the October the 14th 1807 This Deed from Marriot Parsons and Elizabeth his wife as their act and Deed and ordered to be recorded. The said Elizabeth being first privily examined apart from her said husband as the Law directs and voluntarily consenting thereto Teste Richard D Bayly CDC Truly recorded
