Know
all men by these presents that I John Kellam Son of Zorobabel Kellam of the County
of Accomack for and in consideration of the Sum of two hundred pounds Current money
of Virginia to him in hand paid by Ann Hatton the rect of which in hereby acknowledged
have given granted bargained & Sold & by these presents do give grant bargain assigns
for ever Certain Negroes Viz one Negro woman Sarah with her increase now in being
Saborough Leah and James also with her future increase also another woman named Lucy
and her Children Henriter and Rachel with her future increase also the one half of
a Negro man named Thos Certain with the other half of Said Negro man at the death
of sd Jno Kellams mother to have and hold the above bargained Negroes with all their
increase for her and her heirs for ever and for no other use intent or purpose whatsoever
and the Said John Kellam for myself my heirs Exors and Admrs covenant and agree to
and with the said Ann Hatton that I will well & truly warrant the title of the above
Negroes to her the said Ann Hatton against the lawful claims and demd of all and
every person or persons whatsoever Witness my hand and Seal this 30th day november
