This Indenture made this nineteenth day of October anno Domini One thousand Seven hundred and ninety three between James Duncan and anne his wife of Accomack County and State of Virginia of the one part and Dublin Drummond of the same place of the other part Witnesseth that the said James Duncan and Anne his wife for and in consideration of the sum of twenty firve pounds current money of Virginia in Specie to them in hand paid by the said Dublin Drummond the Receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hat given granted bargained and Sold, and do by these presents, give, grant, bargain, sell and confirm unto the said Dublin Drummond twenty five acres of land, situate, lying, and being in the Parish and County of Accomack and State aforesaid and bounded as follows, to wit, begining at a post at the side of a road called Galloping ridge road and thence runing North twenty six Degrees East fourteen chains to Litchfield line, thence South thirty three degrees East five chaims to a dead Oak, thence South 62 [degrees] 30 [minutes] Seven chains to Oak Stump, thence North 25 [degrees East 11 [chains] 90 [links] to Wt Gum corner, thence S. 68 [degrees E Six chanins to post at Burtons corner, thence South 26 [degrees] w twelve chains, thenc S. 50 [degrees wt ch: thence S 47 [degrees W. 4 chains thence 39 [degrees W. 3 ch. to Galloping ridge road thence along said road to post at begining the same containing Twenty five acres more or less which lands were late the property of Geo: Gale Esqr of Baltimore and sold by him to James Duncan. To have and to hold the said twenty five acres of land more or less with the appurtenances there unto belonging to him the said Dublin Drummond his heirs Executors and Adminis. or assigns forever. to and for their use, and benefit and none other whatsoever. And the said James Duncan doth hereby for himself his heirs Executors, and Administrators covenant and agree to and with the said Dublin Drummond his heirs and assigns forever that he or they the before mentioned and bargained Twenty five acres of land together with the appurtenances unto him the said Doublin Drummond his heirs and assigns forever against the lawful claim, title, or Interest of all persons claiming from by or under him the said James Duncan & that he will forever Warrant and defend by these presents. In Testimony whereof the parties these presents have set their hands and affixed their Seals the day and Year first above written.

At a District Could held at Accomack Courthouse the 19th day of October 1793 James Duncan and Anne his wife, the said Anne being first examined privily and apart from her said Husband, and voluntarily consenting thereto, severally acknowledged the Indenture of bargain and Sale as their Act and Deed, and ordered to be Recorded
