This Indenture made the 10th day of February Anno Domini one Thousand Seven Hundred and Ninty Eight Between Thomas Hickman (son of Edwd) and Lucretia his wife, Henry Hickman and Scissey his wife, Richard Hickman and Nancy his wife Dennis Hickman and Bridget his wife Steven Hickman and Esther and Robt Hickman of the County of Accomack and State of Virginia of the one part, and George Hickman of the same place of other part Witnesseth that the said Thomas Hickman and Lucretia his wife, Henry Hickman and Scissey his wife, Richard Hickman and Nancy his wife Dennis Hickman and Bridget his wife Steven Hickman and Esther and Robt Hickman for and in Consideration of the sum of five Shillings Current money of the State afsd in Specie in hand paid by the said George Hickman the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath given granted bargained and Sold and Do by these presents give grant bargain Sell and Confirm unto the said George Hickman his heirs and assigns forever Eighteen Acres and on Half of Land More or Less which Lands were late the Property of Edwd Hickman decd and bounded as follows (to wit) on the N. W. by the lands of the heirs of Henry Wright decd on the N. E. by the lands of Solomon Baker on the S. E. by the lands of Steven Hickman and on the S. W. by the lands of Richard Hickman To have and to hold the said Eighteen Acres and one half of land together belonging unto him the said George Hickman his heirs and assigns forever and to or for no other use intent or purpose Whatever and the said Thomas Hickman and Lucretia his wife, Henry Hickman and Scissey his wife, Richd Hickman and Nancy his wife Dennis Hickman and Bridget his wife Steven Hickman and Esther and Robert Hickman doth hereby for themselves their Heirs Executors and Administrators Covenent and agree to and with the said George Hickman, his heirs and assigns forever shall and may forever peacibly and Quietly Occupy possess and enjoy the said Eighteen Acres and one Half Acres of land free from all incumberances and form all Claims and Demands of all person claiming from by or under them the said Thomas Hickman, and Lucretia his wife, Henry Hickman and Scissey his wife, Richard Hickman and Nancy his wife Dennis Hickman and Bridget his wife Steven Hickman and Esther and Robert Hickman will Warrent and forever defend In Testimony whereof the parties to these presents have set their hand and affixed their Seals the day and year first above Written

This deed from Thomas Hickman & Lucretia his wife, Henry Hickman & Scissey his wife Richd Hickman & Nancy his wife Steven Hickman and Esther his wife, Dennis Hickman & Robert Hickman to George Hickman was proved by the oaths of Parker Barnes, Wm Wise & Arthur White Witnesses thereto and was acknowledged by the said Lucretia, Scissey, Nancy and Esther as their act and Deed, they being first privily examined as the Law Directs did Voluntarily Consent & ordered to be recorded
