This Indenture made this 10th Day of February Anno Domini one Thousand Seven Hundred and Ninty eight Between George Hickman, Thomas Hickman and Lucretia his wife Henry Hickman and Scissey his wife Dennis Hickman and Bridget his wife Steven Hickman and Esther his wife And Robt Hickman of the County of Accomack and State of Virginia of the other part and Richard Hickman of the same place of the other part Witnesseth that the said George Hickman, Thomas Hickman and Lucretia his wife Henry Hickman and Scissey his wife Dennis Hickman and Bridget his wife Steven Hickman and Esther his wife And Robert Hickman for and in consideration of the sum of five shillings current money of Virginia in specie in Hand paid by the said Richd Hickman the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath given granted bargained and sold and Do by these presents give bargain sell and confirm unto the said Richd Hickman Seventeen acres and on Half Acre of Land more or less which land were late the Property Edwd Hickman and Bounded as follows (to wit). On the S. W. by the Lands of Robt Russel late of Jno Berry Hickman on the N. W. by the lands of the Heirs of Henry Wright decd on the N. E. by the Lands of George Hickman and Stephen Hickman and on the S. E. by the Lands of William Wise. To have and to hold the said Seventeen Acres and one half acre of Land, together with the improvements thereon and all Priviledges and appurtenances thereunto belonging unto him the said Rich Hickman his heirs and assigns forever and or for no other use Intent or purpose whatsoever and the said George Hickman, Thos Hickman and Lucretia his wife Henry Hickman and Scissey his wife Dennis Hickman and Bridget his wife Steven Hickman and Esther his wife And Robert Hickman doth hereby for themselves their heirs, Executors and administrators Covenent and agree to and with the said Richard Hickman his heirs and assigns forever, shall and may peacibly and Quietly Occupy possess and enjoy the said seventeen Acres and one Half Acre of land free from all Incumbrances and from all claims and demands of all persons Claiming from by or under them the said George Hickman, Thos Hickman and Lucretia his wife Henry Hickman and Scissey his wife Dennis Hickman and Bridget his wife Steven Hickman and Esther his wife And Robert Hickman will warrent and forever Defend In testimony whereof the parties to these presents have set their hand and affixed their Seals the day and year first mentioned

This deed from George Hickman, Thomas Hickman and Lucretia his wife Henry Hickman and Scissey his wife Dennis Hickman and Bridget his wife Steven Hickman and Esther his wife And Robert Hickman was proved by the Oaths of Parker Barnes William Wise and Arthur White Witnesses thereto and was acknowledged by the said Lucretia, Scissey and Esther as their act and Deed they being first privily examined as the law Directs did Voluntarily Consent thereto and ordered to be recorded
