Deed from Joshua Wishart to John Sharpley 6 July 1794 - Transcribed by Gail M. Walczyk

This Indenture made this 6th day of July one thousand Seven hundred and Ninety four between Joshua Wishart and Anne his Wife of the County of Accomack in the Commonwealth of Virginia of the one part and John Sharpley of the County aforesaid in the Commonwealth of aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said Joshua Wishart and Anne his Wife for and in consideration of the sum of forty Eight pounds lawful Money of Virginia by the said John Sharpley to them in hand paid at and before the Sealing and Delivery of these presents the Receipt Whereof the said Joshua Wishart and Ann his Wife do hereby acknowledge and the said john Sharpley by thereof acquits and Discharge have granted bargained and Sold & by these presents do grant Bargain and Sell unto the said John Sharpley his heirs and Assigns forever twenty Acres of land with the apportenances thereto belonging Situate Lying and being in the County afsd and bounding on the East the lands of George Whittington and Wm Ross on the South and on the West on the lands of the said Joshua Wishart and on the North on the Market Road Leading from the Main County Road Through said Wisharts Lands to pocomoke or Wallops Road to have and to hold the said Twenty Acres of Land with the appertainances thereto belonging to the said John Sharply his heirs and Assigns forever to the only proper use benefit & behoof of the said John Sharpley his heirs and assigns the sd Joshua Wishart and Anne his Wife do by these presents Covenant unto & with the said John Sharpley his heirs and Assigns that they the said Joshua Wishart and Ann his wife have good Right and lawful Authority to Sell the above granted premises in Manner aforesaid that he the said John Sharpley his heirs & assigns Shall and May peaceably and quietly enjoy the same & that May the said Joshua Wishart and Anne his Wife & their Heirs shall and will forever Warrant and defend the same to the said john Sharpley his heirs and Assigns forever In testimony whereof they hereto Sett their Hands and Seals this day and year first above written
