This Indenture made the twenty second day of April Anno Domini 1785 Between Robert Andrews of Accomack County of the one part and Joseph Crockett of the same place of the other part, Witnesseth that the said Robert Andrews for and in Consideration of Two hundred and twelve pounds ten shillings good and lawful money of Virginia in Specie to him in hand well and truly paid by the said Joseph Crockett at and before the ensealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby Acknowledged. Hath given granted bargained and Sold and by these presents doth give grant and sell Alien release Enfeoff and confirm unto the said Joseph Crocket his heirs and assigns forever, all that plantation Tenement and Tract of land on Tangier Island containing by estimation four hundred and fifty acres be the same more or less with all rights priviledges and Appurtenances to the said belonging and appurtaining being one half of said Island which descended to said Robert Andrews by the last Will of his father William Andrews (decd) To have and to hold the aforesaid four hundred and fifty Acres more or less as above described unto him the said Joseph Crocket his heirs and Assigns forever To the only proper use benefit of the said Joseph Crocket his heirs & assigns forever and for no other use intent or purpose whatever, and the said Robert Andrews doth hereby for himself his Heirs Executors and Administrators Covenant and agree to and with the said Joseph Crockett that he the said Robert Andrews his Heirs Executors Administrators or Assigns forever the hereby granted and bargained land and premises together with the Appurtenances and every part thereof against all and every person whatsoever claiming or to lay claim to the same any part thereof shall and will warrant and forever Defend by these presents. In Testimony whereof the party to these presents hath hereunto set his hand and Affixed his seal the day and year first above mentioned
