This Deed made this twenty ninth day of October in the year of our Lord Seventeen hundred and ninety eight between Leah Drummond (widow of William) of the one part and Daniel Drummond of the other part both of the County of Accomack in the State of Virginia. Witnesseth that the said Leah Drummond for and in consideration of the sum of Twelve pounds current money of Virginia to her in hand paid by the said Daniel Drummond before the Sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof the said Leah Drummond doth hereby acknowledge and wholly discharge the said Daniel therefrom, Have granted bargained and sold, demised, released and confirmed and by these presents doth grant, bargain, and sell demise release and confirm unto the said Daniel Drummond his heirs and asigns all the right title and claim of Dower which she the said Leah has in and to all the lands which descended to the said Daniel Drummond moved by the death of his father William Drummond decd and also all the right title and claim of Dower in and to the different parts of the Tract of land whereof his said Father died siezed which the said Daniel hath purchased at different times and which descended also to his brothers and Sisters by the death of their Father the said William Drummond decd with the appurtenances thereunto belonging. To have and to hold the said hereby granted & released Dower in and to the said premises unto him the said Daniel Drummond his heirs and assigns forever free, clear, & discharged from all and all manner of claim of Dower to the said premises with the appurtenances thereto belonging. In Testimony whereof the said Leah Drummond doth hereto set her hand and Seal the day and year above written Leah Drummond

At a District Court held at Accomack Courthouse May 16th 1799 This deed from Leah Drummond to Daniel Drummond was proved by the Oaths of John Burton Thomas M. Bayly and Edmund Bayly. Witensses thereto and ordered to be recorded Teste Edmund Bayly CDC Truly recorded
