Page 144 - Richard Evans- October 31, 1791, 47 acres, Pat. called Queen's Ridge, begining at a point of marsh near Tangier Sound.


PATENTS ISSUED BY MARYLAND FOR ISLANDS (Hollands, and Long Islands) IN THE BAY


Somerset County MD - LIB:10 FOLIO 531- 587, 1667. Patent to Thomas Courtney for 100 acres of land on an island near Kedge's Straits in Somerset County MD. Named Courtney Island.

Somerset County MD - LIB:11 folio 530-436, 1668. Thomas Taylor bought the patent rights from Margaret Brent for an Island named St. Johns Island, containing 80 acres of hig land and more of sand dunes. See LIB:10-11 folio 455-528, Box 220 Pat. 220.

Somerset County MD - LIB E:215-281. May 29, 1668. All the rights of Thomas Courtney for Courtney's Island and patent for entire Island containing 220 acres, granted to Thomas Taylor. 

NOTE: These Patents were recorded in Somerset County MD. This part of Somerset County MD later became Dorcester County MD.
